Benedict Rodenstock is CEO and founder of ASTUTIA, a Munich-based investment firm specializing in Internet growth companies. ASTUTIA holds some 15 investments, among them such gems as Body Change, Fashionette, and InterNations. He has also helped found some new ventures, e.g. the UNPAINTED media art fair whose first edition took place in Munich in early 2014.
Benedict’s former employers include Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, more.de (a subsidiary of Web.de), and Hubert Burda Media.
Benedict holds a Diploma (Laurea) in Contemporary History from the University of Bologna (Italy), a Certificate in Internet Technologies from New York University (USA), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Sankt Gallen (Switzerland).
Benedict is Munich-born, yet a global citizen, having visited 50+ countries and mastering 5 languages. He is married with a one year old son.
In his scarce spare time, Benedict enjoys contemporary art (he is president of Kunstclub13, an art club in Munich) and mountain sports, especially mountain biking and skiing.
